WISDOM FROM ABOVE

The best way to understand why Jesus called God "Father" and why all who believe in the true God YHWH do the same:

Let's use "electricity" as an example...

"Electricity is produced at a an electric power plant. Some fuel source, such as coal, oil, natural gas, or nuclear energy produces heat... The spinning turbine interacts with a system of magnets to produce electricity. The electricity is transmitted as moving electrons through a series of wires to homes and business."

In John 8:12 Jesus applies the title to himself while debating with the Jews and states: I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life... When I am in the world, I am the Light of the World.

In Matthew 5:14 Jesus also said that we too are the light of this world.

Matthew 5:14 "Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid."

God is like the main source of a power plant, the main power that gives light to darkness so you can have a clear vision of things, and the Holy Spirit, that is part of God and comes from God, can be compared to "electricity". Just as electricity is a form of energy that transports power to give light to everyone on this planet.

1 John 2:4-6 KJV He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him. He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.

Matthew 5:16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven. Amen!!!

THE IMAGE AND LIKENESS OF GOD

God took human form and came to earth as Jesus Christ, yet to this day some still say "Show us the Father that we may believe!"

John 14:7-9 "If you had known Me, you would know My Father as well. From now on you do know Him and have seen Him.” 8 Philip said to Him, “Lord, show us the Father, and that will be enough for us.” 9 Jesus replied, “Philip, I have been with you all this time, and still you do not know Me? Anyone who has seen Me has seen the Father. How can you say, ‘Show us the Father’?

When God created us in His own image and likeness He was not talking about outside appearance, He was talking about "What manner of spirit you are made of". Jesus states that one will be able to identify false prophets by their fruits.

Jesus said in Matthew 7:15, 16 "Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. 16 Ye shall know them by their fruits..."

False prophets will not produce good fruits. Fruits, which are a common metaphor in both the Old and New Testaments, represent the outward manifestation of a person's character.

GOD IS NOT INTERESTED IN LOOKS, GOD IS INTERESTED IN CHARACTER!

“For the Lord does not see as man sees, for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.” 1 Samuel 16:7

"Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord." Hebrews 12:14

A person who pleases men is easily found, but a man after God’s heart is hard to find. The question then, what kind of person pleases God.

  • Does that mean his or her life is without sin?

  • Does that mean he or she does not have any flaws?

  • Does that mean he or she does not have any weaknesses?

A person who lives a life that pleases God is certainly not a perfect person. The Bible tells us that David was a man after God’s heart. But we know that David has many weaknesses and shortcomings.

JESUS CHRIST EXPOSES THE FALSE TEACHERS OF GODS' WORD

Jesus Christ was against the teachings of the scribes, Pharisees and High Priests because they taught false teachings and traditions of mankind instead of Gods' Word. This is still happening to this day, that's why many religious sects exist in this world.

Gods' Word is not about religions, it is about having a personal relationship with Him. This is why He calls us "Sons and daughters".

For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. Romans 8:15

They were suppose to be the rulers and teachers of the Jews. They preached Gods' Word but they themselves did not follow them. SEE ALSO: John 3:1-21

The woes of Jesus against these false teachers are mentioned twice in the narratives in the Gospels of Matthew and Luke. In Matthew they are mentioned after Jesus' triumphal entry into Jerusalem, where he teaches in the Temple, while in Luke they are mentioned after the Lord's prayer is given and the disciples are first sent out over the land. Before introducing the woes themselves, Matthew states that Jesus criticized them for taking the place of honor at banquets, for wearing ostentatious clothing, for encouraging people to call them rabbi. The woes are all woes of hypocrisy and illustrate the differences between inner and outer moral states. Jesus portrays the Pharisees as impatient with outward, ritual observance of minutiae which made them look acceptable and virtuous outwardly but left the inner person unreformed.

What did these suppose scholars (teachers) did wrong that mislead them to false teachings?

1. They taught about God, but did not love God – they did not enter the kingdom of heaven themselves, nor did they let others enter.

2. They preached God, but converted people to dead religion.

3. They taught that an oath sworn by the temple or altar was not binding, but that if sworn by the gold ornamentation of the temple, or by a sacrificial gift on the altar, it was binding. The gold and gifts, however, were not sacred in themselves as the temple and altar were, but derived a measure of lesser sacredness by being connected to the temple or altar. The teachers and Pharisees worshiped at the temple and offered sacrifices at the altar because they knew that the temple and altar were sacred. How then could they deny oath-binding value to what was truly sacred and accord it to objects of trivial and derived sacredness?

4. They taught the law, but did not practice some of the most important parts of the law – justice, mercy, faithfulness to God. They obeyed the minutiae of the law such as tithing spices, but not the weightier matters of the law.

5. They presented an appearance of being 'clean' (self-restrained, not involved in carnal matters), but they were dirty inside: they seethed with hidden worldly desires, carnality. They were full of greed and self-indulgence.

6. They exhibited themselves as righteous on account of being scrupulous keepers of the law but were, in fact, not righteous: their mask of righteousness hid a secret inner world of ungodly thoughts and feelings. They were full of wickedness. They were like whitewashed tombs, beautiful on the outside, but full of dead men's bones.

7. They professed a high regard for the dead prophets of old and claimed that they would never have persecuted and murdered prophets when, in fact, they were cut from the same cloth as the persecutors and murderers: they too had murderous blood in their veins.

But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. Galatians 1:8
